White Actress Party

A white actress (who appeared on one of the biggest shows in syndication) recently had a birthday party. An aspiring black actress (name withheld) was in attendance; her ride was called away on an emergency. A few of the party guests encouraged her to accept a ride with a foreign man in attendance, she was reluctant but they wore down her reluctance by saying, ‘he is a fun guy, really cool.’ She got in his limo and was surprised to find additional men in the back seat; before she could get out, the limo sped off. The next few hours were a nightmare experience, she was gang raped and beaten beyond recognition. Afterwards, she was dumped on a deserted highway; a passerby rushed her to emergency. Guests who attended the party are stonewalling the police, claiming they don’t know the man’s name, the limo driver has yet to be located and the victim will require reconstructive surgery, her acting career is over.

Hmm... I'm kind of questioning the validity of this as I think if it had really happened it would have been made very public. This isn't just some embarrassing secret about a star- it's a violent assault and the type of thing that would be on the news. Anyway, I did some research and surprisingly, Xena is the most widely syndicated show in the world, and Star Trek , Baywatch, and Gilligan's Island are right up there. Going strictly off of those, my guess would be Lucy Lawless. But, as for recent syndication, what instantly came to mind was Friends, mainly because after everything I've heard about Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox getting a kick out of deliberate cruelty towards people outside of their clique, I could see them setting this up and thinking it would be hilarious.

What's the point of mentioning that it was a white actress, a foreign guy, etc? It's almost implying that white people aren't concerned about the welfare of black people, and will let them go off with dangerous 'foreign' guys. Seems like racist bait to me.

Not necessarily.

Back in the early 1990s, when Murphy Brown was one of the
most controversial shows on TV -- produced by Shukovsky English Entertainment, or S/E/E --
Joel Shukovsky, a temperamental sort and a psycho driver,
apparently ran over some old lady with his range rover
and killed her. This only came to light in SPY magazine
in 1993 or so; it was never in the major papers, possibly
because of Diane English's connections.

It seems a lot of things like this can be kept fairly quiet. I read recently that back when "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" was being released in the mid 80s, Matthew Broderick was involved in a car accident in that killed a mother and daughter. From what I read, the circumstances of the crash were in dispute and Broderick ended up paying off the family.

I totally remember this, he really didn't seem at all apologetic about it and it didn't get much press attention at all. Off topic, but I really don't get the hetero vibe from him. I wonder why SJP married him. The guys she dated before him were so different, which of course, could be THE reason, but ....?
