I think that's an excellent guess. Usher seems a little too worried about being seen as homosexual.

Considering it's a UK blind item wouldn't it more likely be about a UK boyband and/or singer? The UK is full of former boy bands and NSYNC never really made it there, just their hype.

I'm thinking the former boybander could be from Blue. They all considered themselves ladies men.
