I also agree in the Who cares? vein. Drinking a margarita or doing dishes. The dishes can wait until after the drink. Or better yet what's the husband doing? Napping on the couch?

The only reason I can guess that this is a BI must be becuase the mother is a recovering addict. Any daytime moms just out of rehab?
