    Don't shoot the messenger

Which Oscar-nominated actress is notorious for accepting multiple gowns for consideration from designers — then returning the empty boxes with tissue paper, but keeping the dresses?

Does that mean one of this year's nominees? Because no body really jumps out. If she's notorious, that means she's been around for a while and is someone the designers send dresses to.

Lead Actress: Cate, Marion, Laura Linney, Ellen, and Julie Christie
Supporting: Cate, Amy Ryan, Ruby Dee, Saiorse Ronan, Tilda
I guess Cate and Laura fit those criteria best, but I'd be surprised if it's either of them.

If it could be a nominated actress from another year, then who knows.

One becomes notorious if it happens more than once. So that leads me to believe its someone who has been nominated before.

I remember hearing this a few years ago, that Nicole Kidman did this to several designers over and over again, and they were afraid to say something to her face, for fear of her not wearing their dresses.

I think it's Sharon 'crazywoman' Stone. She seems to fit the bill.

Didn't Sharon Stone keep a necklace or something? I remember something in the papers about it a while back.

I think you're right about Sharon Stone. I remember an article about her not returning something on loan. It was a pretty big deal too.

Renee Z - I know it says nominated not winner, but still she strikes me as the type that would do this.

you'd think they'd stop sending her stuff.

weird tho, I mean, why bother sending back the box? maybe it's the delivery person stealing the dresses?
