This English New Wave popstar has been performing and touring for decades as a hetero male to support his double life as a cross-dresser. He lives part-time in Berlin where he conducts his life as a woman. Not as a flashy drag queen or tart- he dresses like upper crust society matron in a blonde wig with proper stockings and sensible shoes that match his purse. This immaculately groomed and refined 'lady' has a feminine name and nobody ever mentions the singer's name. She/he has a masculine male assistant and hopes to have enough money saved someday to retire from the music biz and live fulltime as a woman.

For some reason i'm being drawn to Gary Newman on this, I think he spends a lot of time in Berlin, he's overtly hetero and i can imagine him in a nice tweed dress......

I thought of Elvis Costello and Gary Numan.
I also thought of David Bowie, even though he is bisexual. He spent several years in Berlin, during his Berlin Era and is in a SpongeBob epi named Royal Highness.

I immediately thought of Gary Numan too. He seems really femmy....but I think he is married. Didn't he marry one of his 'biggest' fans?? It was something very odd.

Nick Rhodes and Simon Le Bon both live in London, and although Nick still wears make-up, he dresses very normally.
