This married, aging, raspy, B list television and film actor who uses a fake name as his stage name had to file for bankruptcy in the past month when he ended up losing most of his money in a hedge fund in which he had invested heavily. Unable to meet some margin calls, he had to get a mortgage on both of his homes which had been completely paid off. He also had to sell many of his prized collector's items, but in the end he just couldn't get it all together and was forced to declare bankruptcy. Look for him to be almost everywhere in the next year as he attempts to start trying to build back his fortune. A male talk show host was also involved in the same fund, but had enough personal assets that he made it through ok.

"Hedge fund" made me think of that movie "Over the Hedge". I looked up the voice actors for that movie, which include Bruce Willis, Garry Shandling, Steve Carell, William Shatner, Thomas Haden Church & Eugene Levy. None of them fit all of the criteria.

Then, I thought of raspy-voiced Tim Allen (born Timothy Allen Dick) who got remarried last year, is in his 50s, and was both in TV ("Home Improvement") and in movies ("The Santa Clause", etc.).

This is probably one of the least juiciest BI's, but it somehow intrigues me!

A hedge fund is an investment fund structured to avoid direct regulation and taxation in major countries and which charges a performance fee based on the increase of the value of the fund's assets.

As for the BI, I have no clue but I wouldn't characterize Tim Allen as having a raspy voice.

^^ I agree. Tim Allen doesn't fit. Raspy voice, I think of someone like Jack Nicholson, Harvey Firestein and Christian Slater. So I'm going with Christian Slater, though I don't know what he's done on TV.

^^ Is Slater remarried again, tho?

The key is finding someone who's done TV and movies that's changed their name. I will look into it.

I cannot think of any raspy voiced actors so I googled and on the crazy days and nights site people are suggesting

    Don Johnson
    Tim Allen
    Rip Torn

Rip Torn has lots of films in production though so he might be doing ok, I checked his IMDB page
