Panache Report 08/01/07
Panache Report
We reported last year that late rapper Tupac hid the fact that he studied Shakespeare because he didn't want to compromise his street cred. Now, we have a thugged out rapper who is also hiding a secret. He discreetly studied investment manuals and became adaptive in investing large sums of money within his online stock account. And, he's become an investment wizard with very lucrative overseas investments. He also has an "immediate annuity," set up that pays him a five figure monthly salary as well. At the rate he's going, he should already be set for life, financially. He had considered lecturing other rappers on money management but at the last minute he decided against it because it may compromise his street cred, as we mentioned earlier. Sadly, he continues to keep his financial savvy a secret because he doesn't want to be considered a "white boy" in rap circles.

This is a repost of an earlier one....although I find it interesting that in the other post, "white boy" is replaced with the word, "nerd."

For some reason, Wu Tang Clan came to mind. Perhaps because of that skit w/them (SNL?) and they open up an Investment Firm. It's hilarious, and really them in the skit. So maybe one of them?

Um, I know several investment bankers making a LOT of money so to me 'white boy' didn't apply - investment bankers can be brown too - Nerd was more descriptive.

I only noted the difference because so many of us look for hidden clues in the wording of these blind items. Which was the original wording?...cause if I am trying to decode something, then that is a really important word/phrase.

I'll say Jay-Z. I don't think he ever did product endorsements which is common for popular actors, singers and rappers. And he invested in Carol's Daughter: Will Smith, Jay-Z team up in beauty venture - May. 18, 2005

Hmmm, there's lots of succesful black men out there... who cares if a rapper invests his money in the stock market? Isn't that cool nowadays? Why would his 'braws' make fun of him for being even richer?

^^It's petty but for some reason I think it's Jay-Z. Sure some rappers own companies or endorse them but I don't hear too many investing in other companies like Jay-Z did.
