Crazy Days and Nights
So this A list couple has been divorced for some time now. Each have moved on as divorced couples tend to do. My five ex-wives are grateful everyday they don't have to see me and the monthly checks I'm forced to send them keep them in Laboutin's and me in a basement. Anyway, there really was no reason given for the divorce. Just one day it was over. Out of the blue so to speak. Turns out that perhaps the lady in all of this was not really quite the lady we all thought. It's not that her husband minded because he really didn't. The problem was that our wife wasn't as discreet as perhaps she should have been and a huge secret was about to be revealed which neither the husband or wife really wanted. Seems that maybe the other man in this wife's life was not just some random guy off the street, but someone much closer. Each had their own reasons for keeping everything a secret. The wife really was happy being married to the husband which is why there were very few fireworks and instead just a resigned disappointment that she wasn't going to get to stay. The wife violated a rule and has slowly been eliminated from any contact with the ex and the ex's family.

Sounds like Tom and Nicole, although I can't think of who she could have been sleeping with that was "much closer" to them. Rumor was Ewan McGregor, but he doesn't have any connection to the Cruises.

Definitely Nicole. The reference to a "lady" goes to her movie portrait of a lady... dunno who. if it was head-scientology dude how would have that been "about to be revealed" (they keep great secrets!) and why then wasn't it revealed anyway?

OK, I am not very good at these, but like my peers here, this must mean Tom & Nicole. But who would have been so close to the two AND would be someone whom Nicole would sleep with? Would it REALLY be a scientology person? Nicole isn't exactly tied to scientology now, but perhaps that could be a result of the split. Of course, it could be that she's halfway sane.

I was thinking maybe it was William Mapother, Tom's cousin, who plays creepy Ethan on "Lost," but who knows how close they are?

I sincerely doubt it is Travolta. Isn't he as gay as day in May at Provincetown?

Hmm...I'd love to know who the culprit is. I am betting it is an actor. Which celebrities enjoyed a closeness with Tom that ended when around his divorce?

It's hard for me to believe it is Tom & Nicole because of the above. Nicole was devastated...remember her appearance on Oprah? It was months later and she could barely talk about it. She seemed to still be in shock.

I don't have another guess tho ~

You may have a point, but Nicole IS quite a good actress.

This is true...but do you think she would continue to repeat that it was a complete surprise and she had no idea for Tom's reason. I remember her saying Tom told her 'she knows' in response to the question of what happened. Or maybe it was Tom's response when he was on her show later.

Anywho....it doesn't play into the resigned acceptance by Nicole to me.
