Crazy Days and Nights
So everyone thinks its always the B and C list actors who get into trouble, but not so. I love the A list tidbits because they just feel bigger and better. This A list actor who has been in three top five yearly box office hits has always flown under the radar. Not really seen out and about very much. Turns out he prefers activities at his home instead. He's married, but it's in name only. His wife is his partner though. He loves having threesomes and watching them as well. However with his famous face it's hard for him to go out with his wife and find someone. So, he sends her out alone to pick up women for them. She lures them back to their place and gets down and dirty with her pickups. He watches on a monitor in the other room. During the evening his wife drops hints about our actor to see if the other woman will be up for it. If she is, then our actor joins them. If the pickup does not sound like she's into it, they don't take any chances and our actor stays hidden and just keeps watching and taping. How is it known about the taping? Maids can be pretty nosy, especially when they aren't paid very well. The last maid cost our actor some serious money in order to keep the tapes quiet. Hopefully he locks his door now.

Ok, so I went to box ofice mojo.....and got the top 5 movies all the way back to 1991...then got bored....but the reoccuring names were:
Tom Hanks
Mel Gibson
Mike Myers
Tom Cruise
Sorta popular was:
Will Smith
Ben Stiller
Tim Allen
But...throwing things off was:
Sequels of:
Spiderman
Pirates
Star Wars
Shrek
Harry Potter
LOTR
so our actor could predate 1991...but thats as far as I went.
They all seem to have too high profile wives to get away with it....

Sounds like Will Smith- but certainly that wouldn't be new news?

All three of these guys could get away with it because their wives aren't that well-known.
Eliminate meyers because he's in the middle of a divorce. You could make pretty good cases for both Gibson and Hanks. I know Hanks' wife has her own thing, but could you really pick her out of a crowd if she wasn't on his arm? Gibson is good, but he and his wife are supposedly uber-religious...could also be a good cover.

I'm going to throw in Nicholas Cage or Kevin Costner. I know they just had a baby but he seems highly sexual with his golf course spa happy endings and all.

^This sounds like something Nicholas Cage might do. His two previous marriages were sort of weird.

I am going to say Gibson or Smith. I think the name only was a hint the wife uses his last name.
I thought maybe the 3 of 5 was a clue. Three sets of five being 15. In 1992, 15 years ago, the number four movie of the year was Lethal Weapon 3. In the last 15 years, only three of his movies have broken the top three.

The more I go over old blind items from EL, very few are solved. I'm beginning to think he gives false clues, or combines blind items.

I thought I'd add Tobey Maguire to the mix.

I don't think Tobey Maquire and Johhny Depp are married....
I think people would recognize both Jada Pinkett Smith and Rita Wilson so I'll throw my vote in with Mel...
