    Who's asking what this week?
Which veteran film and TV actor is known in the industry as 'Two Fingers'? Whenever he was required to lift up his leading lady in one particular scene, that's what he kept trying to slip inside her.

Fred Astaire wasn't a TV actor though - or was he? Also, the use of the word 'veteran' suggests that he's still alive. Good suggestion about his being a dancer though. Hmmm....

Dear God, not Dick Van Dyke!!!

LOL, my first guesses were Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly. Not even kidding.

penname, I don't want it to be Dick Van Dyke either, btw! LOL But he fits better. And I don't remember if Fred Astaire was on TV, like one of those variety shows that were so popular back in the day.

Maybe it's not a dancer. Is there some other TV character/actor who has to lift people as part of a scene? Like a lifeguard, firefighter, rescue worker, especially amorous husband?

    ^Very good point.

I was thinking of sweeping, romantic dance scenes like An Officer and a Gentleman - but I don't think there could have been finger action in that scene.

What about the kind of hero that's always rescuing women, like James Bond perhaps? Roger Moore played Bond and also starred in a few TV series.

Gere - I don't think - has done any TV. Moore seemed to be one of the good guys. At least, that's what I got out of the comments from his female costars.

TV and film stars in action roles would include people like:

    Chuck Norris
    David Hasselhoff
Kiefer Sutherland (although I think he is a bigger danger to Christmas trees than people)
    Tom Selleck
    Pierce Brosnan

    Haha about Kiefer!

Yeah, you're right. I don't think Gere has done any TV either.

I'm not sure Pierce Brosnan is old enough to be considered 'vintage' (and I wouldn't believe this of him anyway) and Kiefer isn't old enough either. Is Hasselhoff old enough? I can't see this as him anyway - his bad habit is alcohol. Nor Selleck. I don't know anything about Chuck Norris but he might be 'vintage'.

Another flying guess: how about Keith Carradine?
