CDAN blind item 11/1/11

This one was a shocker to even my jaded self. Two co-stars. Network show. Both married. Both B+ listers with very long careers. Lots of bad luck with shows in the past although each has struck gold at one point. I cannot even fathom the two of them together, but they are. Like all over each other on a daily basis. When the crew started noticing what was going on, I think they were all just as crushed as I am. Two great families being torn apart by a couple of people who wanted some sex with each other.

I thought about Christina and Will, but i barely even know who Will is. What did he strike gold with?

I only know him from Arrested Development which is one of the greatest shows in the history of television. I would consider that striking gold.

My first thought was Tim Allen and Nancy Travis. They're both married, both have long careers and are co-starring on a sitcom together. He struck gold with Home Improvement and she struck gold (I guess) with Becker (which was a hit). Also both struck gold in movies (him with Toy Story and she with Three Men & A Baby). They'd be a total WTF couple, too, especially as I've heard they have zero on-screen chemistry on their show.

This does sound like it could be Will and Christina, but Maya Rudolph also stars on their show and isn't she good friends with Amy Poehler? Seems a little risky. Although, I guess that doesn't mean much since Michael C. Hall was cheating on his co-star wife with another co-star so some people just have no shame.

Haha I thought of them right away too. He also had The Santa Clause movies.

I was reading the AV club tonight and someone posted this in the comments of the "New Girl" review:

Only hours before this episode aired, I heard from a VERY credible source that Zooey Deschanel and Jake M. Johnson are boning in real life (both cheated on their respective spouses - hence ZD's divorce).

ZD and JJ don't fit. They haven't had LONG careers. When has ZD struck Gold? Plus it says 2 families being broken up which makes me think longer term marriges and maybe some kids.
