Since the blind item source is in the US, I'm guessing that the 'royal' is Fergie. (As in, Sarah Ferguson, not the Blackeyed Pea!) Which other 'royals' are likely to borrow from US designers? Strictly speaking, she doesn't qualify as royal anymore, although her daughters are still 5th and 6th in line to the throne.
