During their discussion… Howard told Robin that he knew why Jennifer Lopez took the judging gig — but he didn’t feel comfortable repeating it on the air. Robin demanded to know, so Howard scribbled the reason on a piece of paper and had Gary carry the note over. Robin was shocked: “Get out of here! Wow…that’s amazing.”

That was the first thing I thought of. Maybe she felt he wouldn't dare hit her/mark her up while she has a gig appearing on national tv.

I really don't think Howard would hesistate to tell if it were about needing $$.

see, to me, money issues or abusive/druggie husband aren't shocking enough.... but maybe that is shocking to Stern, i dunno. maybe it doesn't need to be shocking to qualify as making him feel uncomfortable
