Default Ent Lawyer Four for Friday 08/13/10

#1 #2, #3, #4 - This is kind of Old Hollywood but some of the people are still alive so not a true Old Hollywood item. Anyway, this Academy Award winning (yeah I said it, no nominee/winner) actor who is still alive got one of his most famous roles in a very interesting way. The Academy Award winner/nominee director of the movie had a crush on this woman. Our actor discovered that the woman would take money for sex and paid for her for a year. The actor told the director he could get the woman interested but he wanted the role. He also wanted a role for one of his friends who is been a B+ movie actor and television actor forever. The director agreed and our actor made the introduction. The director had no idea the actor paid for her services. He used his entire paycheck from the movie to pay for her.

    #2 - Director
    #3 - B+ actor
    #4 - The movie

Not sure why...but I want the B+ movie actor to be Jack Klugman (Quincy MD).

He was Columbo + Hugh Laurie (House) only better!

Loved the opening credits. He made being a jewish doctor sexy!

I wanted to be sick for Quincy...anyone else?

    Does anyone elseremember Quincy...LOL!

OK, I'll take a stab. This sounds like Jack Nicholson to me, so I'm spoiled for choice for possible films. My first guess: he won an oscar for One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest back in 1975. Was he friends with Danny DeVito? He could be described as B+, couldn't he? The director was Milos Forman, so the actress may have been Louise Fletcher, but I know very little about either of them.

It can't be Chinatown. Faye Dunaway would be far too expensive - not to mention too old for Polanski's taste!

^ It sounds like the woman may not have had anything to do with the film or even the industry though? She's not one of the "four" to be guessed.

OK, my mistake about the woman. But I'm still voting for Jack on 'Cuckoo'. Milos Forman, its director, has won two oscars.
