This openly gay actor has been in a committed relationship for YEARS, but he’s been having a secret affair for several months with a toy boy half his age. It’s his personal trainer. To complicate matters, this actor and his partner decided to adopt a baby, and now the partner is pushing to hurry things up. The trainer is freaking out because he hoped the actor would leave the partner for HIM! What will our gay actor DO?

mrs. v- I heard that Neil's trainer is older than him so it may not be him. Plus the trainer would be 17/18 if it were Neil.

David Hyde Pierce? He's like 50 (so a trainer could feasibly be half his age) and has been with his husband for over 20 years according to imdb. I don't really see him as the type to have a constant trainer, but who knows.

John Barrowman? He's was talking last year about wanting to adopt, and he had a civil ceremony with his partner of 15+ years in 2006.
yeah, I'm a Torchwood / Dr Who fan...
But I don't know how well known he is in the US...?

It seems he used to be well known in the US 10+ years ago, but his career stalled.. maybe the gay thing, it doesn't work well in H'wood. Then he got work in the UK... so could be him, but then again would he be trying to get publicity in America for something?!

^ But Elton's not an actor. I feel like this shouldn't be this hard. There aren't that many openly gay actors. The also has to be at least very late 30s/40, but probably a bit older and in long term relationship.
David Hyde Pierce is a good guess. I thought of Ian McKellan, but I don't know if he has a partner. Plus he's 70 so I don't know if he'd be adopting.

That was my first thought, but then it could be because I just watched my weekly dose of Torchwood.... (ABC2 is showing TW on Friday nights)
Would be sad because the impression I got of Barrowman was of a very nice and genuine person.
