Lainey - 7/31/09 - Rough patch, happy ending
Quote:
Rough patch, happy ending
Am about to hit the links – leaving you with a new riddle for the long weekend.
He’d strayed before with a civilian but she can handle a civilian. Their most recent rough patch however was a result of his affair with a gorgeous one hit wonder. Professional and personal lines all tangled up, especially since there was already some history between the two, and it was a humiliation that pushed the marriage to the brink.
They took some time away from each other and re-evaluated and while it comes as no shock that she was willing to preserve the white picket fence his decision to end it with his paramour did surprise some who thought he was done with that life.
In the end, there is still a lot of love there. And they are doing what they think is best for the kids too.
All’s well now. For now.
3 famous people involved.
Will try to post more from the course. If not – have a great weekend!

Tim McGraw & Faith Hill came to mind since she's posted blinds about them before.
"One hit wonder" makes me think its someone in the music industry. Jay-Z & Beyonce came to mind too, except they don't have kids.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin and someone else?
Edit: A quick Google brings up Natalie Imbruglia, known for 'Torn'.

Gwen & Gavin? Although I can see Gwyneth wanting to keep the "white picket" fence routine more than Gwen.

omg - Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are who I thought of too! He does a lot of producing - a few years ago there was some chick he was writing music for - JoDee Messina, I think - she could be a one-hit wonder. Or it could be a number of one-hit wonders - take your pick, really.
But Faith Hill seems so invested in preserving the white-picket fence story. She's always on the cover of Ladies Home Journal or Redbook or whatever blabbing about how she makes it all work.

It really could be Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, but I have a feeling it's someone else.

I think Natalie qualifies as a one-hit-wonder, at least in North America. I know she's had multiple releases, but the only song of hers I can dredge up from my memory is "Torn," which was huge. Other than that, as a non-fan I just seem to know of her romantic life with various celebrities...including a fling with Chris Martin shortly before he began dating Gwyneth Paltrow.
Lainey is obsessed with Gwyneth/Chris. Has posted about their marriage troubles and attempts to repair many, many times. She has used the word "civilian" with them before: when Martin allegedly had an affair with a lawyer.
Then, earlier this year, there was this:
Natalie Imbruglia and Chris Martin are getting cozy | MusicToob
And as for professional and personal lives tangling:
Coldplay's Chris Martin regrets giving song to Natalie Imbruglia | News | NME.COM
Rumors of an imminent breakup between Paltrow & Martin were rampant around that same time. But have since settled down.
They totally fit.

I know Natalie had a few CD's out in Britain, wasn't sure if they were released in the US or Canada. Apart from Torn I'm struggling to name any.
Nice find, Fuzuoko.
