Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Color in Gunmetal. I've been switching back and forth between this and a cherry red.

Well it's actually 21C today and sunny, so it's more like spring. That's Sydney winter for you.

^^wow, those are long nails! i think they might be real, too??!

for my toes, i use either black cream polish or dark burgundy shimmer polish year round. once in awhile i find a really dark eggplant color i like & use that. i never use color on my fingernails, though...i can't keep from picking at the polish.

i am pretty sure i bought that same shade a while back because it is a very pretty, bluish (cool) red. but i remember it chipped easily, streaked, and just wasn't saturated enough even after two coats.

Yup, I had to do 3 coats before it didn't look streaky. I have another maybelline color, a very pretty light pink, but it gets chunky and very uneven when I spread it on my nails. I've learned the only product worth buying of Maybelline's is their mascara.

i am obsessed with finding the perfect bluish/cherry red for a while now. and a lot of colours come close but it seems like i can never quite find the perfect one. i can see it in my mind, but then none of the polishes i try look exactly like that lol. i might also just be nuts.

Ohhh that lilac is nice. I usually either go with deep dark reds or neon pink and never have found a pastel that I like, but I will have to try that one

^^ It's called Gumdrop, I believe.. and for a $5 nail polish, it doesn't chip at all.
