I ran out of Seche Vite the other week so I bought a new bottle at Sally's and I noticed at the store that the lid was different but didn't think much of it at the time. I just put it on tonight the the brush is way different. It's like an Essie brush now (ewwww) and the brush wouldn't flatten out or spread. I'm a bit sad because Seche Vite has always been my go to top coat and I threw out the old bottle and wish I had saved the lid. Sad times

I did put on a really nice color though....Rescue Beauty Lounge "Recycle"

I leave for Las Vegas later on today (it's 1:30 am ) and I swear I have forgot how to paint my nails . I normally give myself a fresh pedicure the night before and I somehow manged to get polish all over my hand and my cuticles look insane - maybe I should do my nails this late or early in the morning

After your polish dried overnight take a hot shower, near the end of your shower you can rub the polish mess off with your finger tips or a washcloth.

definitely one of my favorite greens because even after a few coats it doesn't get too dark. it still looks green and not black

Ok we're gonna have to revise the title because I'm sure "anything to do with nails" does NOT mean this. GROSS, get that nasty mess on outta here!

Like I said, revise the title because that is a mere technicality.

I just ordered these off Amazon:

Orly's eye-searing neon orange called Melt Your Popsicle

and a pastel pink creme Mod About You by OPI, which I'm hoping will pop against my dark skin

Also, I've been looking for a pastel blue called What's With the Cattitude from OPI's Shrek collection from a few years back and I found it--someone's selling that bad boy for $44 on Amazon. Bitches! At that price I'm gonna have to find me a dupe.

the trick for bright neon polishes is to put a coat of white underneath, if you look super close at that orange you can see they've done white beneath.

Yeah I've done that before and I like the effect except that it's impossible to avoid the white showing around the edges, I hate that. I'm hoping it will be neon enough to look bright enough without it.

i got a mani today and i always get neutrals on my hands but today decided to go with a red. essie up's. it's a dark bright red, if that makes sense. kind of like a deep cherry or garnet, not quite dark enough to be a wine. it's a jelly so it's also very shiny and very 'juicy' looking, which i like.

can't find an accurate photo on the internet. this one has the colour right but in person it looks quite a bit darker.
