I put sunblock on anything that will be exposed anytime I leave the house. I loosen up in the winter because I wear long sleeves at that time. I hear comments about needing to get out in the sun more and being asked if i'm wearing white stockings. Makes me want to say fuck it and start baking myself but then I remember that I will age so much better then the ones who mock me for being fair.

if you're really self conscious about it you can use some subtle tanning stuff, as long as you don't go overboard it's actually really realistic! you won't go orange...unless you fake bake + mystic tan + smear the dark shit on

Somebody who is a health coach asked me today if I was tired. When I said no, he attributed it to my apparent lack of sun exposure. I am that pale. This comment did throw me off for a minute. However, this same person thought I was about 13 years younger than my actual age so I'm going to keep on doing what I've been doing. Religious sunscreen use (and cod liver oil for vitamin d) is working for me. Pale skin and freckles don't doom you to premature aging if you take precautions.
