Zsa Zsa Gabor used to swear that nasty man goo does the best on a woman's facial skin. I'm not freaky enough to try it.

^^ what kind of "goo" are you talking about? Like there sweat?

Oh, I've heard of guys/woman putting fruits on themselves in saunas, because it rejuvinates them.

Putting used and chilled green tea bags on your eyes (closed, of course) as eye masks. It's relaxing and takes away puffiness and I think green tea has good anti oxidants so maybe good for fine lines around your eyes.
You can also use chamomile tea bags

If you think it's crazy, you ain't seen a thing. Just wait until we're goin down in flames.

She also used to say that eating a slice of green pepper a day gave you great skin.

I bet her men were pleased

I'm not sure about all these home remedies. I'd sure have some funny looks if I was found manically crushing aspirins in my bathroom.

I hope nobody took my Comet mask seriously.

Anyway, like Tenaj I'm a little wary of these home remedies, particularly as I seem cursed with oily/sensitive skin.

Three, people. Then add three or four drops of water to form a paste. Do not add too much water. Home remedies are not as scary as so many beauty aids which are not regulated by the Feds because they are not drugs. Your average jar of pomade has known carcinogens.

That won't make a lot of paste though will it? Do you just dab it on problem areas like spots?

Like if I wanted a full face mask, surely I'd need a years supply of aspirin, if I tried to buy that from a chemist I'd be floored, detained and put under observation!

It depends on your aspirin size. I use it mostly on my nose because I stay well exfoliated so it is too intense for my cheeks. I do not have spots but have a recurring black head issue. I have used it all over my face and still used only 4-5 aspirin. The consistancy is your choice. I make a thin paste but just remember it has to be sticky enough not to fall off your face. It both manually and chemically exfoliates. Salicylic acid is featured in many acne products. As it dries it becomes hard and chalky. I apply a moist cloth to my face to loosen the crust, then wash off. It will leave your skin very smooth.

I also just break them in half-you do not have to grind the aspirin. They respond to water quite well. Non-buffered is best. So many people are on aspirin therapy to reduce the chance of arterial problems these days, no one would care if you were stocking up. It isn't a VALIUM mask.

I have heard that it is the caffeine that helps the puffiness the most so chamomile wouldn't help. It would be aromatherapeutic, perhaps?

I might try that aspirin mask.

You are limited to the amounnt of aspirin you can buy in England though. In some places its 8 tablets, some 16 tablets. I think i'll go for 16 and do a body scrub!

bella, are they afraid of overdoses? Do they control Tylenol and ibuprofen too?

Make it thin and the 16 could work. I got mine too thin once and it was still like cement after 15 minutes!
