Yes, she's rolling it with her hair wrapped over it. My co-worker does it to her younger daughter all the time. She tried on me, my very thin hair wasn't having it. Kept slipping out of the sock as she rolled.

I'd love to try the sock bun but I think my hair is too long to do it with. I struggle to get rollers in my myself as I don't have the reach and I have to pull each section around the front to begin rolling it which leads to lose ends and tangles

Well I got one of those hair donut thingies from Primark for a pound, and its got a sort of grippy texture so you might be able to start it over your shoulder and once you've rolled it up a bit then reach behind your head?

For a quid I might as well give it a try but I think it'll still take some doing. My hair is past my waist when I wear it down and even if I put it in a ponytail I still wouldn't be able to reach far enough to do it the conventional way.

i have one of the donuts that i think kari is talking about and i tried to roll my hair around it but it didn't work. i just pulled my ponytail through the center then wrapped chunks of hair around it. it was cute and made it look like i had hair!

I totally hate my thin hair. Had to run errands today and saw all these women with thick, luscious hair and great hair styles that would never work for my hair. ENVY!!

I have very thin, fine, curly/wavy hair too so I can completely commiserate. I do my hair in the first hairstyle posted, except I have shoulder length hair - I achieve that look by using a leave in after shampooing (I like either Bumble and Bumble Prep or Giovanni Leave in treatment), and then tying my hair into a bun/chignon when it's damp. I get that kind of wave and body when I take the hair out of the bun.

I love the sock bun. You use easily these any function .you made different style your hair or a little bit lower for work. You can buy one to match your hair colour. You can do so much with it. Women like sock bun.

If you use a sock, free. For anything else, there's MasterCard.

If you've not got enough hair then you may need to spend a bit on extensions to enable the sock bun.

We saw a woman in town the other day with so many extensions that my husband actually noticed. He never notices stuff like that. He referred to her as the woman with the "prosthetic hair"

I feel so... dumb. I never knew about this sock bun business. Like Chalet said, I'm a girl, and I didn't know this? Guess what I'm going to be practicing in the weeks to come? That's right. A SOCK BUN
