I prefer a menopausal thinning pubes comb-over these days. TMI??

Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right.
What you lose on the pubes, you make up for on the nips....
I would really like to wax down there, I shave it daily but can always feel stubble. The only thing that has kept me from waxing is that I've heard it doesn't really work the first time. That has been true every time I've waxed any part of my body, I have to go back with tweezers or a razor afterwards to get the strays.
No way am I gonna wax my privates and then have it not work.
Oh, btw, I do know how to get rid of bloody ingrown hairs from shaving everyday, courtesy of a stripper, use neosporin.

If we're all sharing, I want to contribute that I don't wax any part of my bikini region because every hair follicle down there bleeds when the hair is pulled out! Waxing and/or tweezers. So to hell with that; I'll just wear board shorts if I ever feel like swimming.
Who was the first person to say, "See that chicken there? I'm gonna eat the next thing that comes outta its bum"?
I just shave the Bikini line and trim the rest. I don't like the ingrown hairs, itchiness, pain and maintainence required for shaving/waxing.
Okay, major TMI, but since we're all in the sharing mood ... I had a Brazilian wax done a few years ago. Something my husband *really* wanted me to do, so I did it ... ONCE. It did hurt, but only momentarily (I've always been a bit sparse down there, so I'm sure someone more hairy down there would have more pain). The worst pain was the "cold" wax they use down the center ... holy shit, that freaking hurt ... but again, just momentarily. My husband loved it, it did feel nice and "airy" down there, but I couldn't go back ... it was just too mortifying. I don't think my GYN sees that much of me during a pelvic exam.
Just a side note ... I had my eyebrows waxed once several years ago at a JCPenney salon. I left with the middle of my right eyebrow GONE. My sisters get their eyebrows waxed on a regular basis and always give me grief for not getting them done (I keep them pretty neat and plucked). I finally got the nerve up last weekend to let my longtime nail girl do it (she ALWAYS asks me if she can do my brows). They actually look great!! She shaped them, waxed them and even snipped them. I have to fill in with brow powder because I have sparse eyebrows too, but the difference is dramatic.
PS: Don't ever wax your underarms. My stylist did it to herself once and she said it was so painful that she cried for half an hour and then didnt have the courage to do the other side. Poor girl!
At this point, I don't think waxing is a reliable option at all. I'm seriously looking into laser hair removal, but I hesitate because I just dont know where the pubic hair trend is gonna be in 10 years.
Haha, decisions, decisions.
You reminded me of makeup trends too. I dated this guy around 2001 and his mother had blue eyeliner that was very 1980's. I asked him about it and he said she loved it so much she had the eyeliner tattooed on her lower eyelash line in the early 90's. Obviously, it looked really dated and I guess she was still happy with it, but that's too permanent for me considering how trends change so fast.
