    seriously, just get it waxed.
i get it done every month. i ask for a bikini wax and i just leave a little triangle patch in front and i tell them to shave off the rest, including the back.
once you get over the initial weirdness of lying down with your knees bent toward your chest while the nice lady rips the hair off your nether regions, it's fine.

omg I can't even imagine.. I've never had anyone in that region while there's light in the room No really, it's way too up close and personal for me, I could never do it. Kudos to you for being so open

i blame all the years spent growing up in europe

but seriously, it's awkward once, and then you get over it and it's worth it to be hair free!

    LOL

I definitely think it would feel a lot better to be hair free but with my luck or how nervous I'd be.. I'd get some great looking young guy, who just started, so he's in training and there'd be two ppl around my nether regions. I'd clench and run for sure!

    MsChiff:

It's not so bad once you get used to it. I know this is tmi, but I prefer sugaring to waxing. I find sugar "waxing" doesn't adhere to the skin like regular waxing, but it's a matter of personal preference.

Ohhhh sugaring sounds fun. I have no idea what that is or the difference but it sounds sweet lol

Does it maintain or keep you hair free as long as waxing? Just curious.

Oh, sugaring is a simple paste made of sugar (duh) , water, and lemon juice. All the ingredients are boiled and in the end, the sugar mixture will look like honey. The thing that's great about sugaring is that you can let it cool enough to apply it to the skin without getting burned as with traditional waxing.

You use a spatula to apply a layer of the sugar paste on the unwanted hair and place a cloth preferably cotton on top. Then you quickly remove the cloth in the opposite direction of the hair growth. And voila!

Also, I've found that sugaring keeps me hair free just as long as waxing because both remove hair by the root. And the hair growth is softer and finer as well as being less of it. Hope I've answered your question.

edit: Oh, and please go to a professional. I tried it once on my own and I made a big mess, and...owwie.

There's no way in hell I'd get waxed. Ouch! The embarrassment of it as well would not be for me.

Has anybody tried Maple Syruping? I hear it's all the rage in Vermont.

yeah the place i go to uses sugar wax and i find it's much softer on the skin than regular wax. i have really sensitive skin and i can definitely feel a difference between the two types - my skin stays red and tender for much longer with the regular kind, whereas with sugar in less than a day i'm pretty much back to normal.

So people still don't know what to do with unwanted hair? How many threads have we had on this. Shave, wax, pluck, rip with your bare hands - jeeeesus, it's not that hard.

I use it on my legs and arms, but it's waaaay to painful to convince me to put it closer to my armpits or other "softer" areas.
