Yeah, it's funny how we stick to certain things forever, and are always trying different products with other things. For me, it's hair products. I'm always using something new, though I did have some favorites for awhile. My mother used Tabu for many years while I was growing up. That stuff is so 50's And definitely gag-worthy!

I don't like anything heavy-I can't breathe around them! I like light,airy-like L'air de temps. Non chokey. I really hate either sandlewood or petouli-however you spell it-both of those are so musky it smells like the person wearing it just lost another round with the Third Regiment.

I have never worn perfume and although i wouldn't say i HATE it, i certainly don't like it. Pretty well all scents make me physically ill. All of Elizabeth Taylor's perfumes contain an ingredient that triggers migraines for me. I just don't get the fuss about making yourself smell different. It's weird to me. That being said, i get a lot of complements on my 'smell'--men love my scent--i'm clean, i'm washed, i'm unperfumed and the men i have dated love it.

worst thing i ever smelled was a lady at work coming back from her smoke break, in the winter, wearing obsession. that was one nasty ass combination.

Oh that reminds me--a lady at work has the worst perfume--she seriously smells like she died 2 weeks ago and is trying to cover up the smell. Plus she smokes. We call her "Smells Like Death".

I used to love L'Air du temps -- I still have some -- but I am into wearing scents like Chanel No. 19, my all-time fave, Dior Addict (only at night), Gucci and Truth. I also like Lacoste and Irresistible by Givenchy for summer. I like spicy, green scents the best.

One of my friends loves Shalimar and it makes me gag. But I would never tell her that.

And yes, I remember the nostalgic smell of Brut.

Opium is by Yves Saint Laurent, actually.

My MIL always wore L'air du temps. I can't smell it without thinking of her.

The queen mother of strong perfumes- Giorgio by Beverly Hills. Capable of being smelled in the elevator 20 minutes afterwards.

My grandmother used to LOVE getting that hideous "Chantilly" bath set in the ugly 70's pink bottles.. blech. So flowery and overpowering, it smelled like the inside of a dead ladies purse.
