I know... every now and then a new poster has the urge to give a statement about dirty hairs. I guess it must be something to get off the chest. Hairwasher Anonymous.

Shouldn't they be in the Nono hair removal thread if that is the case?

I have a long and black shiny hair. I wash it three times in a week. If you like to wash every day then your hair will become thin and rough. Before hair washing you must do oiling properly. Always wash the hair in a right direction. Always apply conditioner after washing your hair because hair looks smooth and shiny.

I hope it will help you.

I have to wash my hair in the right direction? Which is - what? Up? Down? Sideways?

You're wrong. You are supposed to use a counter-clockwise motion, at a 30 degree angle, preferably using only your pinky fingers and thumbs.

Is this person getting banned the same damned one every 6mos-year? WTFF?? (weirdos)

Oh, and reading back.... I've since started using sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners. Not sure if this has helped, but I've been able to go every other day for the last 6-7 months. The real test will be soon, since it's warming up here.

I'm really oily. And maybe a tad less oily than I was a few years ago, which I attribute to simply getting older. But when it's hot and I'm sweating on a daily basis we'll see what happens. Cause normally by the end of day two it looks like I poured a cup of grease on my head if I don't lather up.

Not so bad in the last few months, and wondering if the sulfate-free shampoo is the cause.

I am an oily gal as well. I am 100 years old and have nary a wrinkle on my oily forehead. I have been trying non sulfate shampoos for the last year. Some are great, some suck. I still do a wash with a regular shampoo once a week. I have to have the clean scalp feeling.

Mrs Dark, forget they less oil as you grow older idea. For some of us that is not gonna happen. I dare say I have some decades on you and still have to wash daily. Futhermore,my hair is thick and healthy.
The trick may be rinse, rinse, rinse. I suspect some peeps just don't get all the soap or conditioner out. You have to hold your hair out so that no residue is left on the underside. And rotate shampoos.

Same for me, I used to wash my hair everyday (and complain it was dry and brittle yet oily) but since I've started using sulfate free stuff, I noticed it looks better on the second day, it's definitely less greasy and my ends are less split and dry.
I wonder if it's just the shampoo or the coconut oil I've also started abundantly using.

But I don't wash my hair in the right direction so I don't really know after all :p
