I agree about the goldy/bronze but I think clear mascara is better

My mum's eyeshadow looks good on her, but only now that I made her tone it down, she did use to go a little overboard but now its more subtle it looks good. I still thinks she suits browny shades better though, but she's old and set in her ways!

That will make your eyes really pop blue like no other colour.

Try it and let me know
I tried, it's ok but if I already look tired I think the mauve will make me look like I'm sick and should have stayed in bed

I use blue and various shades of gray (my eyes vary from grey blue to intense blue depending on the light, sunlight will make them very blue).

Pink/mauve can be tricky - if you get it wrong you look like a druggie. I'll stick to my gold/bronze until the fashion police drag me away

What colour eyes do you have?

Mine are dark brown and I wear lots of gold and brown shades. I've tried mauves and lilacs but I can never seem to get them right. I think gold and bronze suit most eye colours.

Hmmm my eyes are kinda blue/grey/green depending on what I'm wearing and my eyeshadow. The goldy/bronze makes them look blue. If I use grey they look a bit dull and grey, if I use the right shade of bluey green they look green. And then I decide to get a life...........

I have blue eyes and can't wear browns or gold because they don't go well with my skin tone. Pinks, plums look better for me.

As one of it's new looks for spring the latest InStyle has a blue shadowed eye with green liner-very well blended. I don't use my blue shadow often but I do use my light blue and green liquid eyeliner with an otherwise neutrally shaded (browns) eye.

    ^^^
depends on your skin tone. but i agree, it can look very nice.

i think blue eye shadow works much better with brown eyes. and it has to be navy or midnight blue, or a subtle shade of lighter blue. i think bright blue shadow is tacky, but that's just my opinion.

I agree, too blue eyeshadow looks a bit weird to me. Only because a mate i used to know used to wear cue chalk blue. (and it looked horrendous) I have realy really dark eyes, almost black.the only thing that looks good on me is smokey shades

Oooo, you guys are gonna love playing with this!

    http://www.marykay.com/nikkipage/wha...x?tab=whatsnew

This is on my website to show some of the different color combinations. Just scroll through the models and pick one that's similar to you and then pick different colors. Once you've found some you like, you can print out the application tips and go get the colors or use something you had and didn't know what to do with. The application tips are great especially if you're like me and had no clue what to do with eyeshadow. All the colors and techniques are put together by Robert Jones. I'm still pissed that I skipped out on his seminar last year. Everyone who went said it was the best training. Just my luck.

I will say, I have blue eyes and I look ridiculous when I put on blue or light green eyeshadow. No idea why and yet my mom used to wear Revlon Blue with the Revlon White. She later replaced that with some mauves and purples from Avon. Much better.
