I put a little on my hair when it's wet, then I blow it dry with a big round brush and run the flat iron over it. Sometimes I use a small bit of Kerastase afterwards just to smooth it out.

I have the weird, half curly, half straight hair too. It's really pretty and wavy on the bottom and flat on the top!

Holy doly. Well I had all good intentions of buying it but it was 49.95 for a small container. So that kind of blew me out of the water. If I could try some and see that it was really all that, I would consider buying it. But at that price I want to make sure it really works!

So I ended up getting a product called Cristalli instead for now.

I would like some input as far as what serum/product you use in your hair to help straighten it before drying. That way I don't buy 40 different products before I find one I like. Heck you can give me the whole run down on fixing your hair everyday if you want.

I do use V05 heat defense spray before flat ironing to avoid any extra damage.

    Thanks for any input!
i saw this post about the V05, and decided to try it for my 13 yr olds hair. she has such thick hair and it just frizzes up like crazy, no matter what. well, it works WONDERS. she's so pleased with her hair. Thank you!

I use TG's Bedhead Spoil Me Spray when I flat iron it and then I use Chi's silk infusion for a finishing touch.

It's insanely expensive, but it does last for a while. Still, maybe you could find a salon that uses it and try it out there. Just go in for a blow-out or something. Ah, the blow-out days of FF

Has anyone her tried Phytodefrisant Botanical Hair Balm? It has some wonderful reviews on Amazon.com, and since I'm looking for something that will leave my hair smooth and soft when I blow dry it, I broke down and ordered some ($35.95 for a 5.9 ounce tube!) to try it. BTW, the hair dryer I am currently using is the Conair Infiniti Hair Designer, which I love because it dries my hair super fast, usually in less about 5-7 minutes (my hair is short, but I have a lot); I just find that it doesn''t leave my hair quite as smooth as I would like.

That's what I'm trying to go for, but have had no luck with a product to do that. I don't blow dry or iron my hair and don't intend to start, so I'm hopefully I can find the product to make it happen.

Biosilk in wet hair after a shower has helped but it easily goes greasy.
