isn't it? it's one of the most beautiful done tattoos i've ever seen. Pavel Angel - the tattoo artist - is one of the best tattoo artists now, IMO.

The problem I have with full on body art is that (unlike most of the models in these pics) the average person I see covered in tatts have no business exposing their bodies to the rest of humanity. Why is it always the fat, pasty, pimply ones who insist on wearing next to nothing so we can all appreciate their human canvases?

Yep, this BIG girl down here is covered head to toe in tats. Her body is her "canvas" and she just completed it with two huge haunted houses on her big fat legs.

These are all great but they're just going to be big, blurry messes in 20 years.
Baby, by the time you have kids and they're in school, no one will care about you.

^ not necessarily. They improve the ink and technique from year to year. Of course tattoos won't stay as beautiful as this forever but they won't get as awful as those from the 60ies or 80ies.

And you can always go back and have old tattoos 'touched up'. A guy I know went back and had some of his old ones overhauled and sharpened and they look great now. It makes sense to me - if you are going to have something etched into your skin that you intend to be there forever then you should take the necessary steps to care for it/maintain it.

I think this is a nice one.

It is a nice one. I also like the paint splatter one upthread. I had one done earlier today on my ribcage and it hurts a lot. I could not imagine sitting through this one, even for 2 sessions! Looks great though!

Also, if it's a good artist, that you keep in touch with, many times they will touch up for free. They want their work to continue looking good too. I get mine touched up just about every 18 months or so. The cool part about that is that each time I get it touched up, my artist gets a new idea about how to shade it or make it look cooler so they are starting to look really dimensioned and nice as time goes on.

This is how I feel, I can appreciate the art and work that goes into them but yikes...some of them are really hideous.

Someone on here has a really gorgeous tattoo, I think it's in the High School forum, I think they're like flowers and vines going around her waist. It's really pretty.

I've always wanted a tattoo, but I wanted it to mean something and be something unique since I'm pretty picky I've never been able to decide on anything...

My cousin's friend started sleeping with her art teacher when she was 16 (and he was married with kids). He drew her a tattoo which she then had put on her entire torso at 18. The kicker, it was some bible verse and a great big cross. Hypocrites.
