Home made beauty products/your beauty secrets
Does anyone have any beauty treatments/secrets they would like to share? Things that we may not think of, but really work?
I mix Keri Bath Oil with sea salt to form a paste, and scrub my entire body (except my face). It is an excellent exfoliator/moisturizer, and is super-duper cheap.
I also put sea salt in my food processor to make it very fine, and gently scrub my face with it.
Once in awhile, I'll warm up olive oil, saturate my hair, and wrap it in saran wrap. It seems to relieve a lot of the dryness, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not.
Any thoughts?

Re: Home made beauty products/your beauty secrets
I heard mayo wrapping your hair relieves dryness. Apperantly, it really works and really is good. But I wouldn't wanna do it cuz I don't want my hair to smell like it. Same with olive oil, I wouldn't want my hair smelling like that so I'll pass.
I use sweet almond oil instead, I don't mind smelling sweet. I don't put it all over my head or anthing though, I just put in on the dry ends of my hair.

LOL
Oh yea I've heard about using eggs also but I remember it was egg whites only for some reason. It's supposed to make your hair shiny.

Re: Home made beauty products/your beauty secrets
I give myself an avocado and honey with oatmeal face mask every once and a while. Leaves my skin feeling so clean and soft. And surprisingly I get the most comments about my skin the day after doing this home made mask. So you try it sometime.
I used olive oil in my hair once then went to the hairdresser the next day for a cut and she said what is that thick stuff in your hair? So I never done that again. She found it hard to get out even though I thought I had washed it all out myself.

I use an aspirin toner- literally crushed aspirin in water- and my skin has never looked so beautiful.

messy, but definitely a good idea. my dermatologist recommended it and so did my brother's. it's good not just for your hair but for your scalp as well.

Re: Home made beauty products/your beauty secrets
Brown sugar or sea salt, lemon, and grapeseed oil as a body scrub.

Re: Home made beauty products/your beauty secrets
Did your dermatologist recommend olive oil for the face as well, Sputnik? I've heard it is very good for that, but I'm nervous about trying it, for fear of breaking out.

Re: Home made beauty products/your beauty secrets
believe it or not a cut clove of garlic rubbed on your skin and left to dry will help cure breakouts....
