    Default Help with dry lips

I have dry lips and no matter how much lip balm/vaseline I apply they are still dry. My lips are actually peeling. It is so bad that I can't wear lipstick or gloss in the winter since it's make the problems worse. Does anyone know any solutions or lip exfoliants, even a homemade remedy?
    Fabulous!

    Are you drinking enough fluids?

With me, chapped lips are a sure sign of dehydration. Chap stick and lip balm wont do anything, but one or two glasses of water and my lips are back to normal within minutes.

Do you lick your lips? My cousin has this problem and I caught her licking her lips all the time without even realizing she was. Try Burts bees lip balm.

The Very Best: Purol zalf ongent made in Holland, not sold in stores in the US, but available on line. in 24 hours the worst sunburned/chapped/cracked/peeling lips will be plump and moist and soft. Accept no substitute!

Drink plenty of water, then take an old toothbrush and GENTLY exfoliate the dead skin off your lips, and then add a really good lip balm like burt's bees.

water, water and more water. and if you have the habit of licking your lips, it will be tough to keep them from drying out.
Don't worry about what other people think. They don't do it very often.

My sister was just telling me she read the best thing was to mix olive oil and sugar. Kind of massage over lips. The sugar takes off the old skin & the olive oil remains. This seems simple & totally natural, not to mention cheap! Try it. I would do warm compresses on lips first.
