Default Black nail polish/varnish, who wears it?

    Do you wear it?

    Like it?
    Not like it?

What are some of the reactions you get people in a professional setting?

I love black polish, as I do love blue/gray and dark blue glittery polish but I'm afraid to wear it on a daily basis.

I'll wear it. I had my acrylics taken off (I always had the pink & white) so I could play guitar and I like the way you can wear just about any color on short nails... so I may throw on some black or some of the really vibrant shades of the season!
I never used nail polish on my fake nails because I thought it would be super tacky!

I really don't think it would be a problem in the work place as long as you're not wearing dog collar or something... I'll save that for Classic Numbers!

I sometimes wear black nail polish, even though I teach in a high school.

I wear Chanel Cosmic Blue or OPI Siberian Nights on my toes. One is darkest blue, one is darkest purple. I have had the Cosmic Blue for years. I wore black toenails before they were hip because jogging or walking long distances can turn my toenails black. I have very sensitive feet. Black polish covers this. When I was working a year and a half ago, I felt funny wearing black nails to the law office. I only did it one day. DC can be very conservative. In my modeling I don't wear dark nails because I feel it dates the photograph. It has been a two year trend already. I sometimes wear red because it is a classic color if I am going for a glamour look.

I wear it or dark brown. I love it, it looks nice on me. The only drawback are chips are noticable so you have to be careful.

I dont wear black ( not since i was a teen), but I don't mind it on hands...

I hate it on feet though, it always reminds me of dog paws....

I wear it almost exclusively-either that, or dark purple.

I agree that it's not nice on feet though, and I skip it in the summer, as it doesn't really work with a tan.

I love black nail polish. I have been wearing it pretty occasionally for the last few years now. I have this Maybelline black called Onyx Rush that I really love. If I'm not wearing that, I go for various shades of dark reds/purples or sometimes light pinks.

I've never worn black, but I love dark purple on my toenails. It goes with everything! OPI Concord Grape is my favorite.

Black? Like real black? I've worn Vamp and Wicked, went wild a few years ago with baby blue on my toes in the summer.

I just looked on the OPI site. They sure do have black. I don't think I have the fingers or the skin color for it. I'm like Snow White. Is it good on more olive or darker skin tones?

I'll wear it when my nails are short. I've got one by L'Oreal (can't think of the name right now), that is black with very subtle silver shimmer. It's pretty.

My sister. It's ALL she wears and she has it on 24/7. I don't really wear it. I think I've done it like once or twice. I prefer pinks and shimmery pearl colored polishes.

I don't like really dark colours on short nails but if I grown mine to a decent length it looks good BUT it has to look 100% immaculate. The tiniest chip ruins the whole effect and you look like a cheap hooker. I wear a very very dark red that looks almost black - no particular brand.
