What's Your Go-To Hairstyle When It Rains?

1 hour 56 min ago by bellasugar

Sorry to pick on you, Nic, but at The Golden Compass movie premiere in Sydney yesterday, your hair looks less than red-carpet ready. And not to kick you when you're down, but it also looks like you forgot to fill in the lipstick on your top lip.
Just a little proof that you can't win em' all, right? Nobody's immune to a case of the frizzies, especially not when it's raining.Seeing this normally-perfect star affected by the weather begs the question: What's your go-to hairstyle when it rains?

Her hair has suffered big time. She used to have lots of hair- thick and curly. I could just be genetic hair loss/thinning but it can also be malnutrition, and over-processing which is high likely with her.

Poor Nicole she just looks a mess in these pics. I ponytail in bad weather because my hair is so flyaway.
I smile because I have no idea what's going on

I always wear it down. I hate when it rains though as it goes shitty.

I don't really care, to be honest. I never 'style' my hair, and it's heavy enough that humidity doesn't affect it that much.

I have naturally curly hair so I just put gel in it and that's it. No frizz.

    Long hippie braid.

See how frizzed out, flat and non-shiny her hair is? That is my hair so regularly. That is why I ask often about shine serums and anti-frizz stuff with leave-in conditioner. On that note, I just saw footage of Tera Patrick, and her hair was drop-jaw glorious: beautiful long, layered, angled cut with perfect shine, like there was glass on her hair. *sigh*

I will either put in a ponytail and/or clip--or more recently, in a headband. Just depends. I do in rain or snow. Snow can wreck havoc too.

I hate Nicole Kidman....just had to say that.

Me too, but it's definitely got a mind of its own I've yet to find
a gel or mousse that'll keep it in place, soft, shiny and without frizz.
So far the stuff I've tried doesn't check all the boxes and many of
them make the hair hard as woodchips! Or you get that white flaky
stuff going on when the mousse or gel dries up!
Last weekend my hair was such a disaster area and I was in a rush,
so I got out an old hat I used to wear, bundled all my hair up in a
bandana and stuffed it underneath the hat so none of it was
showing, and went out. I got several compliments on the "fashion
statement", but I had to disappoint everybody by saying it was
a "bad hair day emergency solution"!

For gel I use La Coupe's Max Hold or I use Joico gel but I can't remember the name right now. I put tons of shit in my hair though. I wash it with Redken's All Soft shampoo and conditioner and once a week I'll do a Redken's All Soft Heavy Cream moisturizing treatment. If I straighten it I'll use Tigi's Bedhead spray and once I'm done straightening it I'll put Chi's Silk Infusion.

There's pics of me in the private forum if you want to see what my hair looks like. On those pics though I had straightened my hair and added some curls with my flat iron.

    You and me both, aries.

I checked 'bun' on the poll since there was no option for braid, but I pretty much alternate between the two.

Do you have wavy hair? I do, so it's very prone to frizz. Something I've found that really helps is to try not to touch it at all when it's wet. I used to wrap it up in a towel for a little while after a wash-- now I just squeeze out as much water as I can, comb through some anti-frizz serum and let it drip dry with NO touching. I get more shiny ringlets and a lot less frizz this way.

As for Tera Patrick's hair, it is absolutely gorgeous! It's obviously naturally pin straight and probably also coarse, which means it's heavier so it hangs nicely.

I love straight hair, but wavy curls are nice too..... you can get that 'wild woman' look when you want to.

I never had to deal with a rain hairstyle until I moved to DC. I learned to pin my hair up whenever it seemed like it would rain.
