    Default Favorite winter perfumes/colognes

Anyone else switch to a heavier fragrance during the winter? Some seem fit to wear only during the cold months.

I'm planning to buy Clinique Wrappings. Does anyone else remember that one? I think it used to be sold year round, but they've scaled it back so it's only available right around the holidays every year. It's a very green scent, and reminds me of a snowy forest. It's not something you can really pull off in June.

As hard as I try, I can't seem to find anything that I like, so I stick with Annick Goutal L'eau Hadrien. It's grapefruity and fresh. I like Premiere Figuer (figs) and Jour de Fete by L'Artisan Parfumeur for the winter but I'd need to buy them.

Did anyone ever wear YSL Opium in the winter? I tried it again. How did I ever wear it? All I smell is the alcohol.

My mom wears Krazy Krizia. It's really nice on her. Kindy smoky, powdery, a touch of floral. Nice for winter. They describe it as oriental flowers combined with vanilla and musk, a crisp delight.

My mother wears Opium in the winter. It's nothing I could wear, but it smells DIVINE on her. It smells horrid on me - like a room with the heat turned up too high and Oriental spices thrown on top for good measure.

It's always amazing to me how much body chemistry changes a scent, even though it makes perfect sense.

I think that may be the one I found in a magazine at my doc's office the other week and loved. But I'm not sure! I made a mental note to myself on the name but I guess it got scrambled. Is it a newer one that might have magazine ads out now PB?

Hmm. Now there's one to revisit. The maroon bottle is still a great one. Thanks.

my mother wore that for years and it's the smell i associated with her as a kid. i used to go to her room and sniff her pillow when she wasn't home and i missed her.

my winter perfumes are parfum énergisant by shiseido (which i also wear in summer actually) and pure poison (dior).

Tati, that perfume is sold by Saphora.

JKM, you are so fortunate that Amarige smells nice on you! I LOVE the scent, but it doesn't work for me.

I just got a whiff of Hypnose. Anyone like this one? Sometimes men's colognes smell great on me. I'm considering this one.

I've been wearing Arden's Mediterranean recently. I don't like the smell when it first comes out, but 4-6 hours later, it's fantastic.

I think it came out last year in Canada. I'm told it smells like Lovely, but I don't know.

Amirage is just too heavy for me. I gave a big bottle away a few years ago to my mother, and she loved it. I tend to like spicy perfumes. Dior Addict is another of my winter faves.
