    Default Is lipgloss OUT????

Are we no longer using LIPGLOSS?

Has matt RED Lipstick replaced it?

I wouldn't say it's out. I think once fall and winter comes around, women tend to go for lipstick instead of gloss.

    Or maybe that's just me.

My reasoning is that when it's windy in fall/winter, I don't want my hair blowing and sticking onto my lips. When it's spring/summer and hot, I don't want to wear a heavy lip product.

I dont know if its 'out' its still being sold.

I dont wear it if my hair is out because when the wind blows my hair sticks to it.

Thats a complaint i've heard about gloss; its sticky and can be a mess. Lipstick is neater.

    What she said.

Most women can pull off darker, more dramatic, matte looks in the Fall/Winter, and lipstick lends itself to that more than gloss.

That said, if gloss is more you, by all means wear it year 'round!

I usually can't bother with lipstick-my lips are full but not well-defined, so unless I'm extremely precise with the lip pencil I end up looking like either a ten year old wearing mum's makeup or lip PS gone wrong. Lip gloss is just easier.

I go for a sheer lip gloss on the rare occasions when I wear it during the day though.

I've never liked that super-shiny look. I prefer a more natural lip. Most people I see overdo the gloss factor.

40s fashion is very in style right now, and thus so is the red matte lippy.

Still, Posh is supposedly a fashion icon and she wears gloss everyday, so even the fashion hyper aware have an excuse. Personally, I've never followed trends unless the suit me.

I don't like gloss on my lips. It makes me look porn-star-ish.

I think my mouth looks better in a colored gloss than a matte lipstick. I have a smaller upper lip than my lower. I don't do darker colors in lipstick.

I do have a nice MAC that I wear called Touch. That is about as dark as I get.

I've always thought lipgloss is useless.

Lipgloss is fine if you want to look like you've just eaten fried chicken.

^^I love it, but here's what I do sometimes. I put a light coat of clear gloss over it, then blot my lips. That leaves a slightly softer look, but not the oil slick look of gloss.

I can't do lipstick, everytime I try it just looks weird on me. I don't know if I just can't find the right color or what.

    Lip gloss is just easier.
All you can do at life is play along and hope that sometimes you get it right.
