This really upsets me. My cousin is 12 and not even in highschool yet, and she gets teased about the hair on her arms. I have some hair on my arms also but i didn't have a problem with it at school so I never touched it with a razor, or wax or anything. I'm glad I didn't have a complex about it at school; I want to tell her that if she can just survive highschool it honestly wont matter later on but she's got 5 years yet, and the teasing upsets her, and now she is bothered greatly by the hair as well. She is miserable and talking just isn't helping. And thankgod for high resolution celebrity pictures- i've shown her some celebrities who have hairy arms hoping itd make her feel better. But the kids at school are always going to be a huge problem even if she starts to accept her hair. She's already started shaving her legs which were blonde. She IS a blonde so i dont understand why her arm hair is dark. I think its because her skin is pale, maybe.
Since i have no experience in this i was wondering if anyone else knows how to control arm hair. The only thing i've told her to do is NOT SHAVE. I dont believe that hair grows back thicker and darker but its far too temporary- plus cutting it just makes it spikey and stubbly and I guess the next thing she'd get teased for is spikey arms. Kids seem to be much more cruel nowadays. I'm so glad I dont go to school anymore, these things just weren't really noticed in my time.
