My nose job
Well...it's finally coming. Tomorrow (Monday).
I'll add details here during the post-surgery time, and maybe some pics. hope some people will find it interesting. And if anyone has any questions etc. - I'm more than willing to answer.
I broke my nose 6 years ago and now getting a "septuplasty" procedure done, which is basically fixing my septum (it's disconnected from the tip and goes to the far right in a "S" shape - which is aesthetically awful and won't allow me to breathe freely) and getting a hump (which is there because of bad bone healing, looks TERRIBLE from the profile, lol) removed. I'm an aspiring singer too, so the nose has caused many vocal problems until today.
Have a nice week, everybody

Yes, good luck with the procedure. Sounds like it will fix many functional problems, and I'm curious about what the end result will be like, how you'll feel about it, how painful it was and all that. Keep us posted on what it was like.

good luck
eat pineapple/drink pineapple juice, it has bromelain (sp?) and it helps with swelling and bruising. I had some before my breast augmentation and i had absolutely NO bruising.

Hi everyone
I eventually had the surgery last wednesday (the 18th) It was a closed surgery, took about 90 mins - performed by two surgeons - ENT who did my septum and a plastic surgeon) - My plastic surgeon was amazing, even sat with me for 2 hours(!) the day before the surgery to discuss everything.
The first day post op felt like HELL - there's a lot of blood that gets into your stomach so I threw up 4 times. 2nd day was not as bad. In the 3rd day the (lovely) ENT doctor removed the tampons from my nostrils and it was a huge relief. I was finally able to breath freely through my nose, for the first time in 6 years! It was pretty easy from that day. I had NO bruising AT ALL throughout the past 9 days, thankfully.
I had the cast removed yesterday - and let me tell you - I'm absolutely THRILLED. The front is the pretty much the same (just without the septum turning to the right ) and the profile is just gorgeous. It looks so natural and nice, just like my nose before I broke it. Was worth EVERY MINUTE OF PAIN. If anyone wants to get Rhinoplasty - I recommend to be 100% that you want to do it, and prepare yourself to the first 2-3 days. They're not easy. As for the results - find a good surgeon and you'll be fine It's worth it.
Pics:
Before:

With cast and packing (tampons etc.), 2 days post op - what a nightmare

With only cast on, 3 days post op

New nose, cast off (8 days post op)

your nose looks amazing. i can't believe it's only 8 days post op. i thought there would be a lot more puffiness for at least a couple of weeks.
