    Default Excessive sweating

I’ve been having a big problem lately. I am not overweight, but for the last couple of months something changed in my body and my armpits are sweating excessively. It is becoming really annoying, I use deodorant before you say anything . The problem is that it doesn’t stink, but it has the wet stains and that's embarrassing. I really hate that. Is there anything I can do about that that would make my armpits stay dry? I used the spray deodorant and it doesn’t work either and the body talc – no luck!

maybe a hormonal imbalance? you should probably go to the doc and get a blood test done to make sure your hormones aren't out of whack.

There's also a condition called hyper-hydrosis... basically there's a wonky nerve stimulating sweat glands for no reason.

    Cures:

Botox injections to freeze the nerve (its only actual medical application)

or minor surgery involving a nerve clamp to stop the signals.

I know there is something called Certain Dri that's supposed to curb it that you put it on at night, otherwise it'll ruin your clothing. I've heard it can burn and sting like hell, so I guess you have to chose between dry pits or keeping the skin on them.

This is it on Drugstore.com. Maybe read some of the comments people left about their experience.

certain dri is horrible.. tried it, and you might as well just poison yourself with pure zinc oxide and get it over with.

check with your doc, and then i'd go for botox

Have you switched products? Sometimes people don't realize that a deodorant doesn't actually have any antiperspirant in it.

I was reading the comments about it at the link and one chick said she quit sweating out of her armpits, but now she sweats out of her neck profusely!

i use certain dri and have had no problems. it does itch a little and be careful what you wear after you put in on cuz it can take the color outta certain things. i put in on before goin to bed, wear a certain pair of pajamas, shower in the am and i'm good to go!

Drysol, available by RX only. It does sting and itch a little, but totally worth it.

CERTAIN DRI WORKS! I use it during summer months; nothing else works!!! I've found it at Rite Aid and Walgreen's.

Yeah, but it's fucking horrible for you.. it's got like 75% of the active ingredient and that soaks right into your glands. mmmm. poison.
