Default How do I get these bangs?

How do I make my bangs to look more like in the picture? My hair is black and a bit wavy (But I blow-dry on the bangs).

I love those bangs! I'm not quite sure, maybe wrap your damp bangs in a large round brush and blow dry them.

I would try using a panel brush that is wide and flat and blowing them straight down.

You'll have to make sure your fringe is pretty thick, Lindsey here has tons of her hair cut into it - the weight alone would make it sit pretty flat.

I agree with pinklilycat. Its the thickness that will keep it flat and in place.
I speak from experience- my Mum has bangs like that and they always stay in place and when she goes outside they dont blow all over her face- me on the other hand, when i tried bangs, they were too wispy (dumb hairdresser) and never sat right, and going outside was a nightmare. I love the look of bangs but I hate the maintenance.

You just have to know how to work with them. I put a bit of product on my bangs and blow dry with a round brush. Lindsay looks great in that picture, but I have never been able to stand my bangs that long. I feel like a sheepdog if my bangs are hanging in my eyes.

it depends on your hair. you need a lot of it obviously, and no cowlicks. i had bangs for a long time but i have a cowlick right at the front of my hair on one side, they were always sideswept because no matter how hard i tried (blow drying, products, etc) they never stayed straight

I have cowlicks, too, but I'm a stubborn little cuss and don't let them deter me. I use whatever I need: rollers, blow dryers, mousse, and if need be I use scissors.

i agree with edie..a blow-dry with a round brush should work to make them hold in front..

Unless you are blessed with really thick hair you're not going to achieve this look. A lot of it is down to a great cut too. If you have the right type of hair, take the pic to a hairdresser and say you want that look and watch how he/she styles it?

    One word: wig.

(That's a freaking wig in that photo. WHO has hair that thick? About 5% of the population, that's who!)

I might be in the 5%...my hair is really thick I always have to get it thinned out.

I agree with others that said use a round brush, a big round brush and blow dry.

If you think it's crazy, you ain't seen a thing. Just wait until we're goin down in flames.
