Shampoos that have a lot of conditioners in them make your hair seem thinner. If you use cleansing shampoo, it makes your hair seems a little thicker. IMO.

yep, very true. however if you use them all the time they will dry out your hair and make it dull. same thing for volumising shampoos.

what i do is i alternate between a cleansing/volumising shampoo and a clear shampoo for normal to oily hair, as they are the ones with the least conditioners and oil and they don't weigh your hair down.

i just wish i would stop losing hair in the shower! it made me cry again today and yell at a shaving cream bottle in desperation. the hairs i lose are so thick and beautiful too; I just don't get it.

i've been told that losing 100-125 hairs a day is still within the normal range, and on some days even more. also, it's normal to lose hair with age, hormone fluctuations, seasonal changes, stress, etc. are you shedding more hair than usual?

Is the amount of hair you are losing abnormal compared to before the "accident" Alice? Have you looked at the hair that falls out? Does it have a root or is it broken off? It could be that your scalp and roots are healthy but what's weak on your hair is breaking off? Did your head/scalp suffer the chemical burn or was it just the hair?

    (sorry too many questions)

i used to lose a lot of hair in the shower. Then i started using a leave in conditioner (religiously) and am amazed at how much less I lose!

    have you tried henna
i swear by it, have been using it since i was very young (like 14)
it conditions and coats your hair, makes it a little thicker
however it is very messy (green mud stuff)
