Have you tried to pour some nail polish remover on the neck of the bottle? You know what I mean? If you pour that maybe it will work the dried nail polish loose. I dont know, I dont use nail polish. Good luck and let us know when you get it open.
How can I screw open a stuck on nail polish cap? I tried using my teeth but I don't want to crack them (not too confident my teeth are strong enough) and no I don't want to throw away this nail polish! I think it's a special edition shade so I don't want to waste it. I also tried using rubber gloves to get better grip but that didn't work either. Anyone got any tips?

Put it in the freezer for a few minutes. Cold varnish is much more 'liquid' than when it's warm. Dunno if it will work, but it's a good tip for when you apply it - goes on much more smoothly.

try tapping the lid on the edge of a hard surface, like a table or something, its may loosen off some of the hard polish to enable you to crack it undone without damaging the lid.
Or maybe run it under hot water?? I think that has worked for me before..
Hot water always works for me, you just might have to hold it under there for a little bit. My mom sucks at painting her nails, she has managed to glue shut every single bottle of nail polish in my house, so every time I want to paint my nails I have to run the stupid thing under hot water just to open it.
I know you are going to think I am crazy, but I promise it works. Open a door and put the bottle top(handle) in between the open door and the frame (on the inside edge with the hinges) and close the door until you feel pressure on the nail polish bottle. Slowly twist the bottle and it should open.
THE EASIEST WAY OUT IS THROUGH....
I could understand that working too sweetrebel, that's the same thing you do for a stuck mouthpiece in a brass instrument![]()
lol, nope, except that I went to the same camp that movie is based on. The producer went to the same camp when he was a teenager, the uniforms in the second movie and the campgrounds look exactly the same
It was all about the practice huts, doors that lock from the inside and no windows.![]()

Thanks for the tips ladies, I'll go try all of them now!![]()

So Moomies its killing me did you get your nail polish bottle opened?
I will not use anything other than OPI, but they are pains to open if stuck. The freezing doesnt work, the remover doesnt work...but I promise,.....
THE UPSIDE DOWN IN VERY HOT WATER (I BOILED THE KETTLE) FOR ABOUT 2 MIN...AND IT OPENED LIKE A CHAMP!
BUT NOT BEFORE I HAVE NAIL STAB MARKS ON THE INSIDE OF MY HAND LOL.....TRIAL AND ERROR, EH?
I'm sure it's opened by now, but for next time...I always use one of those old-fashioned nut crackers (the one in the shape of a V) Works every time.
