    I saw a picture of my Grandpa with my mom when she was a baby. 1949,1950? He looked like a blonde Elvis. With cigs rolled up in the sleeves of his white t-shirt, ala Grease.

    Any hairstyle involving pin curls isn't something I'd call particularly easy, to be honest. While they can be done at home, I think a lot of these were probably wash and sets done by hairstylists and were expected to last for a week with the aid of a hair pick and extra helmet hold hairspray.
