Do women like guys with hair on their bodies?

This is something I've always been curious about. When you look at all those models and athletes in the magazines, they are all hairless. It seems like women nowadays tend to prefer the no hair look. Yet I see pictures of Hugh Jackman on the beach with his hairy chest and women don't seem to mind.

So which do women prefer? I guess I'm one of those metrosexual types, but I used to shave my legs in the summer for comfort. When it gets hot, I sweat a lot and sometimes it feels like insects crawling over your legs with all the hair.

I prefer body hair to the totally hairless look which creeps me out. Maybe it's the cavewoman in me, but I find men with hair (in the right places) look more attractive. I draw the line at men whose facial hair continues down their neck and onto their chest and back (I admit I have a problem with back hair) but even then I prefer it to smooth and hairless.

I definitely prefer hair - and I don't even mind alot of hair, as long as he's clean and tidy. It's very snuggly and (as nature indended) can cut down on friction an inopportune moments...

I once dated a 'swarthy' guy of Eastern Europen background and he was the hairiest human I've ever seen (luckily it never got to the point where I saw it ALL). You could practically watch his beard growing and he had to shave at least twice a day to keep his face turning black with stubble/regrowth. It caused him a lot of embarrassment poor guy.

Well, I don't mind. I prefer hairless chest, back and butt but they can't help it. And I would rather them be hairy then shave it, which totally creeps and grosses me out. I have dated a couple of super sexy guys who were VERY hairy. I went out with one guy a couple of times until I found out he shaved his ARMS. And he was BLONDE.

I'm very curious as to the biological benefit or advantage, if any, that this type of hair growth gives.

Why would nature produce this type of excessive hair growth? What is the purpose of it? Why are people from warmer climates hairier than those from cooler climates? Or is that even true?

What is all this hair supposed to DO? What is its FUNCTION?

As far as personal attraction goes, I think that what I find appealing in a picture, like a model in a magazine, is not quite what I find myself attracted to in real life. The men that I find myself inexplicably drawn toward are more hairy than the models I *think* I'm attracted to.

I found an article on this type of thing... So dudes that are hairy, don't shower, sloppy in appearance are now referred to as retro-sexual (as opposed to metro-sexual)
