    Default Dark spot correctors

I'm looking for a recommendation for a dark spot corrector. I'm very fair and last year I had a couple of breakouts. Once the pimple went away, I was left with a dark spot. It's been about a year and they aren't getting any lighter.

I don't want to spend a fortune, but I'm willing to spend a good bit of money on something that works

Ooh, good question, I have the same issue and would be interested in something that works.

My aunt had the same problem. She tried Clinique and didn't like it. She said it was ok, but didn't do much. Seems like there are a bunch of us out there.

*snicker.... I need a whole body corrector

Exfoliation seems to the only that remotely lightens spots but, of course, don't completely eliminate them.
Last summer they appeared out of nowhere with a vengeance all over my face. I'm in tears just thinking about it yet don't want to pancake my face with foundation to cover it. It's been brutal.
I use Vichy's proeven products along with their normaderm to keep acne at bay. I see roughly a 20-30% improvement.
I'll be watching this thread hoping for a miracle. Glad you posted it KrisNine!

I stopped by Ulta and one of the older ladies in there swears by Ponds. They don't have the exact one in there but it's called Ponds Clarant b3. I looked at reviews online and it's has a pretty good reputation. I'd love to have something so cheap work for me.

My eyes are getting worse because the first thing i read was dark crotch errors instead of dark spot correctors. Damn getting old!

I wonder if plain ole lemon juice would help. It does wonders on my fingernails.

Several cosmetic lines have "whitening" or "lightening" lines, right? I wonder if you could spot correct with something with a whitening agent in it.

Are you all talking about sun spots/age spots? I abused my skin by the sun years ago & now paying for it. I'd love to find a product that actually works because so far I've found nothing.

Obagi Nu-Derm with Retin A works. But it takes time and there are side effects (peeling, redness, etc). It has really changed my skin. Only thing that ever truly evened my skin tone. My skin no longer needs foundation.

What took away my mother's sun/age spots? Laser. A woman at her work had done it, results were great, therefore, my mom did it, results were great too. I have yet to hear of a cream that works wonders.

It would be too easy to find a cream that actually works. How many treatments did it take for laser to work on your mother? It's expensive, right? I need to do some research.

Lemon juice does work well on fingernails. Not sure about dark spots.

That might work. I'm not sure if you can just use it on spots or if you have to lighten the whole area.

I think it's the same idea. Sun spots, dark spots, hormonal changes, etc.

I get mine off amazon, only that brand. I am using it as a spot treatment every 3 days, and I do a full face every weekend for 2 minutes max. The onset of my rosacea was sudden and severe and it has taken me some time to get my face back to normal. I'm super pale and any blemish will leave a dark spot, the results are not instant but it works.
