    Default Changing my Haircolor-need opinions!

So I love the blonde shade I have now, but the bleach is killing my hair. I want to grow it very long but not if I keep bleaching it.

My natural shade is dark brown, but with my pale skin it looks inky and fake.

Any suggestions? I think I can get my virgin hair to a light brown without bleaching it first. I am getting married in August, so I have to keep that in mind. I have hazel/yellowy light brown eyes.

Me now(yes, my face is blotted out)

    I like these colors:

i would ask your stylist for a recommendation but you can also do something online where you upload your picture and put on different colors or styles so you can see how it would look with your skin tone.

Any of those colors look great, but go for a consult with a colorist first. They might have suggestions we wouldn't think of.
I am concerned that you are getting married in August! Would the groom recognise you if you were not blonde? See what a pro says first.
Also-I hope you don't hate me-but get to a makeup counter, try Clinque. Or any of them really.
In your picture I am detecting a bit of orange face. You foundation does not match your neck color at all, or maybe it is a tan, but just make sure. You are so pretty and too close to flawless not to get there! I want you to be a knock out Bride!

I like the Hilary Duff coppery color.

I do too, but I'm afraid of it turning brassy after a while.

No makeup at all on my face in that pic, just lipstick and eyeliner. I think it's the photo, or a slight tan. Thanks for the kind words, though, dear!

My man has seen me in all hair colors, I don't think he'd mind

If you're getting married next month, I absolutely wouldn't make any major hair color change now. If something went wrong or if you hated it, it might not be easily fixable by then. You don't want to look back at your wedding pics and think, "I hate that hair color" forever.

If it were me, I'd wait until after the wedding and then go for it. I like Mandy Moore's hair color in the pics you posted.

I think the Mandy Moore colour is too coppery and looks too fake. which could be fun for a while but I wound suggest getting married in a hair colour that exists in nature. also, is your natural hair colour warm or cool (red based or more ashy)? I would go for a colour that is in the same family as your natural colour since it is usually the most flattering to your colouring.

I have pink in my skin so I think I'm cool toned. I'm a fan of ashy toned hair color.

It can be hard to determine undertones in pictures sometimes, especially not seeing your eyes or your eyebrows. Looking at your neck, I see a bit of warm tone, but that could be lighting or my screen. Looking at the veins in your wrist, do they look greenish to you or blue?

If they look more green, you are warm toned. If they look more blue, you are cool toned.

They are purple-blue. I think it's just the photo that makes my skin look that color, and I was also flushed that day(it was my wedding shower)

You definitely sound cool toned, then. In that case, coppery, warm shades aren't going to be the most complimentary. You're right sticking to the ashier blondes and the cooler browns without a lot of gold. Warm golden tones will turn brassy orange on you and fight your coloring.

I love red hair color and have toyed with years of the idea of having it, but the truth is, red hair that looks natural is almost always very warm. It has a fair amount of orange in it, and the cool reds look very fake.

A colorist well versed in color theory who knows their skin tones will serve you well, especially if you plan to go forward with this before your wedding.

I'm convinced 90% of celebs don't know it and don't have people who dress them and style them who know it. So many of them come out with hair colors that fight their skin tone or clothes that make them look sickly and many times it's color choices. Cool toned people look dead in warm colors, and vice versa.

Most celebrities have that awful yellow blonde hair and it looks like shit.

My sister is doing it, she's a hairstylist so she knows that ash tones work well. My hair right now is an 8N.
