    Unhappy Hairspray Suggestions???

I have used the same hairspray for awhile, and I love it. It is made by Peter Coppola and I used to be able to buy it from QVC, but they no longer carry it. I did a search to see if I could buy it from his home site, but that has been "under construction" for months! It used to give the perfect hold, but not be sticky or tacky at all.

(My Mom is a QVC addict and I used to make fun of her all the time. But they actually do have some nice beauty products!)

I have seen this on Ebay, but I am not willing to pay $28. for a can of hairspray!

My sister is actually a licensed stylist and recommended Redken Inflate, but that didn't hold at all.

Any suggestions for a hairspray that holds, but won't get all tacky and stiff?

    Milky,

Not sure which product you use, but you can find them at:

^You are a sweetie and I am obviously a dummy when it comes to searches, LOL! Thanks!!!

ETA: Although if anyone uses something they really like, please suggest it! I love Peter Coppola, but it is on the pricey side! Thanks!

the fructose hair spray is a pretty good every day hair spray although there isn't super hold, more just kind of control of fly aways etc. right now i have the aussie ultra hold and it doesn't hold at all. if you want super hold, i would recommend getting hair glue-esque stuff and diluting it. i use it when i need my curls to be clearly defined etc and it has the look of a cross between gel and hair spray.

I use Sebastian Shaper Plus and I love it. It's a bit pricey at 21 bucks a can but the cans are enormous and last me a very long time so it works out to be very little over time.

^Hmmmm....I am going to try that one. I've seen that can before, and it IS huge, so I am sure it will last. The one I was using was only a 9 oz. can for about the same $$$, and it used to last, because I do like misskris, use it to control the fly aways.

    Thanks girls!

I've used Suave maximum hold, it works pretty good for something economical. There is also something called HoldIt or FreezeIt, you get it at Sally Beauty Supply, it's a blue can with yellow lettering. It's about $5-6 bucks and works great, I use it for a hairspray, and when I need to put my hair in hot rollers I'll spray some on each section before rolling and it really hold good.

I haven't used hair spray in this century! It has been used ON me two or three times by older hairdressers but I do not use it at home.

Alberto VO5 Brush Out extra hold. I don't like hair spray but have to use it for work. Standing in front of an industrial size fan it holds good and doesn't have that hair spray look. And it's cheap $2.89.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!

And LOL Sojiita, AQUANET was my high school staple. I used to buy it at CVS for probably .89 cents and not even hurricane winds could move my 80's bi-level 'do.

I looked! It's Redken 'Forceful 23'. Smells like shit, but works.
