    Default IPL: Photo Facials

About 2 weeks ago, I had the first in a series of IPL photo facials done. IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light.

The cost for each treatment is $300. It is supposed to help with sun damage, evening out skin tone, acne scars etc.

It hurt worse than anticipated, like a HOT rubber band snapping on your skin and after your face feels like it's on fire for a good hour. I will say though, that I can already see a difference and I am looking forward to the next treatment.

That sounds very interesting! Let us know how it does. I've got some acne scars from years ago and it'd be great to really get rid of them. Good luck and hopefully the pain lessens!

Supposed to work for that, too.

i had this done several years ago and it worked for a while, but then the spots came back. you need to have re-dos every so often.

Is this the same thing as V-Beam laser treatment? I had several V-Beam sessions last year and I am SO pleased with it. I started it to remove a burn scar on my face after a cooking accident (long story!), and my doctor hit my old acne spots (darkened spots from cystic acne) too.

It was amazing. Cannot say enough good things about my experience with it!

ETA- sorry to necro an old thread guys!! just realized how old this is!
