If we're talking 90's I kind of want long floral dresses to come back.

This article was dumb. It was all about hair. There was WAAAY more shitty things about the 80's other than hair.

I rocked the shit out of a banana clip.

Totally agree. Mrs. Mohandas wore them all the time in the 1990s. Good times!

I don't recognise this 80s. But then I was from the land of indie bands & spent most of my down time writing songs for various local bands....

I remember these things but didn't wear most of them. I was more rude girl/ modette than banana clip/ leg warmer girl.

I graduated high school in 87, you should see the hair on some of the chicks in my year book. Mind blowing

All of God's children are not beautiful. Most of God's children are, in fact, barely presentable.

Good choice, I still love the Specials, oi oi!

By far shoulder pads had to have been the worst '80s trend, though there were many bad ones.

I loved the leg warmers because my legs are so skinny. Of course my mom couldn't believe that I wanted leg warmers in Florida.

Ah-haha! ^ I had a friend that was the maid of honor at her cousin's wedding in the early '90s and the bridesmaid dresses looked just like that. I laughed and laughed some more when I saw the pictures.

I think that we are a very similar age (but I finished school @ 16) by then it was all Clash, early Cure, 3 Johns, Souxsie, etc plus own stuff. my bf used to be friends with Steve Strange so I had some of that & some of what they played at the Blitz, despite being quite some distance away.
My school friends were Wham & Duranies but they were too "pop" for me.

I still love the films from the early 90s with the NJ hair!

ETA - my wardrobe in 1985-87 consisted of black - black trousers, black tshirt, black shirts, and the piecé de resistance, an old (black natch) school blazer 594837 sizes to big with massive curling (helped!) lapels and a sort of felted material. I loved that jacket. So did everyone else, I ised to get approached on the steet & people offered to buy it off my back.
I think I had one pair of trousers & one shirt that was khaki... My shoes were another matter. Red. Or red & black. Patent red brogued. Red & black asymmetric (Mary Jane type) with kitten heels.

And I weight 90lbs (or equivalent).... But that's another story...
