Color contacts

So I wear regular contacts, and I was thinking of getting colored ones to switch it up a bit. Does anyone use them? I have dark hazel eyes, and I was thinking of getting either blue or green. But I know it will be hard for the color to show up on my eyes. Any suggestions? I've heard that Paris Hilton(barf) uses Natural Touch by Coopervision, and her eyes looks very blue with them, given that her natural eye color is darker than mine.

They have opaque colored lenses that will cover even the darkest of eyes. I had them years ago and they showed up just fine. No doubt they've improved even more since then.

My eyes are a chestnut brown, I had the green and the violet colored lenses.

Your optometrist should have samples of lenses for you to try on during your eye exam. I wore color enhancers for awhile and was able to try on all the various colors before deciding on green (my eyes are aqua grey).

My aunt has golden brown eyes & the color enhancers worked well on her. I think she picked green & they looked natural.

When I started wearing contacts in high school I got hazel contacts. They looked natural with my complexion, but in the sunlight they looked green and people constantly mentioned my 'green eyes.' After a year of the 'love your green eyes' crap, I switched to clear contacts.

I have green eyes with a bit of hazel (really light gold) and I wanted to bring out my green more. But it never really worked- I wound up with an eye color that looked sort of like those green-brown mud masks they use in spas.

Then I tried a different brand and I wound up with the most unnatural shade of green ever- almost like the lemon-lime Gatoraid- like so:

Whereupon I gave up on colored contacts. I've seen them look beautiful on blue-toned eyes, but if you're aiming for a green, I've yet to see a company that makes a nice green.

I used the Accuvue 2 color enhancers. The green worked great with my eyes but mine are light and already have a green tone to begin with.

The green ones looked quite natural. The violet ones looked fake, but they were pretty. Got lots of compliments on them, but they're not something I would wear now. Prefer my natural eye color.

I tried the Acuvue ones when I just started wearing normal lenses. I'm guessing they were fitted wrong because they kept sliding all over my eye and wouldn't stay put.

I have a couple boxes of the Fresh Looks lenses, and they don't fit right either. Like L1049's, they move all over the damn place - or my eye moves, and they don't. I have Pacific Blue and Violet, with blue eyes. My eyes look great with both of them, but it drives me insane all day while I'm wearing a pair. I wear them once a month or so.

I used to wear colored contacts when I was in high school. I have dark brown eyes and I had blue and green colored contacts. When I was picking mine out they had a more natural looking option that just had little green or blue lines drawn on so that your natural eye color still showed a bit but I chose the faker more solid colored ones because I wanted crazy lizard eyes. I've grown out of my attention hungry phase, though, so if I got colored contacts again I'd probably get them in a honey brown color to slightly lighten the natural color of my eyes.
