I need haircut suggestions

so i really need a haircut.
right now it's layered and long (the longest parts are almost halfway down my back). i want to cut it shoulder length or maybe even a teeny bit shorter, but still long enough that i can wear it up.
my hair is ash blonde and fine, though i do have quite a bit of it. it's relatively straight but the hair on the sides of my face tend to curl up quite a bit and i also have a stubborn cowlick on one side of my forehead so no bangs for me, unless they're long and can be worn to the side. if i blow dry my hair it's all straight, and if i let it dry naturally it's mostly straight with some wave to it.

i'm looking for a cut that's funky but not too out there and that won't require an insane amount of styling in the morning - i have to wash my hair really often and i don't have time to spend half an hour on it every day.

oh yeah, face shape. mine's on the round side with high cheekbones.

i need help!

i like the charlize theron one, was thinking something along those lines.

i like michelle williams hair but it's way too long and minus the bangs (which i grew out), pretty much the same haircut i have right now.

i do like the charlize one a lot. and minus the middle part, it does look great wavy.
but i'm still not 100%. i'll do that one if i don't find anything else but i'm looking for somethng similar but... kind of less structured. not sure if that makes any sense.

i think the best thing to do is go in with your ideas and then ask your stylist (assuming you trust him/her...) if it would look good on your or what they think would look best. if they are worth their money, they know.

Penny-do you know how to find that Kohl's comercial of the women in the office? That supervisors cut-the one at the copier is the cutest I've seen. It is short,but she could modify-its so edgy without being yukky. I can't find it!

Sputnik, your hair sounds like mine in terms of texture - very fine but lots and lots of it. Straight when blown dried, slight wave when air dried.

I recently had 8 inches cut off and my hair styled into a Charlize type cut at my shoulders with a side part and a few more long layers than she has. Actually, it looks more like the first picture Sweetie posted.

My friends think it suits me - much more so than the long layered look from before. The cut unleashes a lot of body too.

I just had my hair cut very similar to Ginnifer Goodwin's, except it's like a half an inch shorter, and longer in the front than it is in the back. I can do so much with it, even though it's short. I love it! You might like it too, Sput, even if you go with something a bit longer.
