Default What is the best teeth whitener you've used?

i am thinking about whitening my teeth but i want to spend my money wisely and choose the best product. i only need to lighten a couple of shades so i don't need anything too intense.

what have you found that works? crest white strips, go smile, something from the dentist, etc?

I actually buy the dentist office gel online, so it's cheap and works great.

I have tried the crest white strips too and they did a nice job over time too. I think it was worth around $30-$40 for a box for 10 days. I believe it was the Crest White Strips PRO. (I won the strips at a raffel at my orthodontist office!)

    Dentist bleach syringes.
They molded trays for my teeth and I use the whitener with it.
It can hurt a little though since it makes my teeth more sensitive when doing it.
I tried the over the counter stuff, Crest White stripes, some liquid you put over them, but none of that worked and was a total waste of time.

I will tell you though... teeth whitening can be very addictive. I'm going on a few years now.

I want to start whitening my teeth too, but I've heard the best way to go about it is to go to your Dentist.

Dentist is best, but expensive. I have read that Gosmile stuff is very highly rated.

Start with the dentist, then use hydrogen peroxide.

Oh my LORD, I just tried to whiten using the Crest White Strips. I had the top strip on for no more than three minutes before I got a sharp, throbbing pain in my teeth. I had to rip that sucker off and throw it in the garbage; it was unbearable.

Are dentist trays this bad, too?
I saw a film today, oh boy.

Go to the dentist, you may be able to find a good deal.

I got a lifetime teeth whitening deal with mine. First appointment they made the trays and gave me the whitening stuff, now I just call them when I need more.

I had mine Zoomed a few years back, and now maintain with trays and Nite white, which I buy online at a fraction of the cost of what the dentist charges me. I use the GoSmile toothpastes, and love them too.

I suggest getting your teeth professionally whitened by a dentist. I didn't see a significant difference with any store bought product.

crest whitestrips actually work pretty well for me (and i only use them for a few days at a time and leave them on longer) but my teeth have felt really sensitive lately! I haven't whitened in over a year, so I'm not sure what's up.

plus, once you lighten, aren't your teeth more porous to stain again? or is that bs?

Try using Sensodyne to brush when you're sensitive and/or bleaching.
I think it's probably tru ethat your teeth become easier to stain after whitening. It would make sense.
I have sensitive teeth when I bleach but dammit I'm a sucker for pretty teeth.

My daughter got her molars sealed last week, and it made me wonder why they don't seal the other teeth? Why not whiten them and seal them up, and renew the sealant when it wears off? Anyone know?

My dentist actually recommends the Crest Pro Strips because they contain more hydrogen peroxide than regular over the counter ones. I have very sensitive teeth and these have never bothered me, but Crest whitening toothpaste caused severe pain, not just in my teeth, but my entire face.
